Miedema Auctioneering, Inc. (Miedema) is excited to assist Artist’s of ArtPrize sell their entries. You will have two selling options: sell to the highest bidder on auction or to set a price and sell outright.

START HERE TO SELL

  • Artists will first need to  complete registration to sell directly with ArtPrize.   ArtPrize will provide educational information about the selling options and advantages of selling in advance. 
  • If you elect to sell through this process, you will first need to complete the necessary form(s) with ArtPrize.  
  • ArtPrize  will provide Miedema with  information about artists that have expressed interest in selling their 2021 ArtPrize entries.    Miedema will get the groundwork done to make the selling process for Artists very simple.
  • Artists will be required to complete details about their ArtPrize entry by following steps outlined below.
  • **PLEASE NOTE:  No need to create an account to sell!  Miedema will provide you with a username and password.  These are the credentials you will need to complete the process for selling.  This information will be sent to you via email and may end up in your junk or spam folders.

Once you have received the account information from Miedema, proceed with the following steps.

Step 1: LOGIN TO ACCOUNT

  • Username and password will be provided to you via email by Miedema.
  • Do not register or create your own account, you are required to use the preset account.
  • Go to bid.artprizeauction.com, click on LOGIN option.
  • Enter the username and password provided to you by Miedema via email.

Step 2: SIGN THE CONTRACT

  • Click on ARTISTS: SELL YOUR ENTRIES.
  • Select ARTPRIZE OPTIONS from menu.
  • Review contract details.
  • Click the checkbox to acknowledge agreement of terms.
  • Click the Sign Here option to electronically sign contract.
  • After signing electronic contract, click NEXT.

Step 3: CHOOSE TYPE OF SALE

  • Select type of sale:  AUCTION or FIXED PRICE SALE.
  • AUCTION: Artist will have the right to accept or decline the final high bid on your artwork entry when  the auction completes on October 2, 2021.  This is done from within your online account and is required to be completed no later than October 4, 2021 at 5:00 pm.
  • FIXED PRICE SALE: Your artwork entry will sell for the set price if a buyer elects to purchase.  The buyer will be required to pay for the item immediately and item will be marked as sold.
  • Enter either the starting price (AUCTION) or asking price (FIXED PRICE SALE).  IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT STARTING BID FOR AUCTION: Enter your starting bid at approximately 10% of the value or expected sell price.  Starting bid needs to be low enough to entice bidding activity.  You have the right to accept or decline the final bid.  Please do not enter the amount you are expecting sell your piece for as the starting price, as it may result in little to no bidding activity.  Call us to discuss if you have concerns. 
  • Click NEXT.

Step 4: ARTWORK ENTRY DETAILS

  • The title of your artwork entry was provided to Miedema by ArtPrize when you originally registered with ArtPrize.  The title may not be edited.
  • Select Art Form.
  • Enter Medium.
  • Enter Year Created.
  • Enter Venue Location Specifics (ie: where specifically is your entry located in the venue)
  • Enter additional information to share with public about artist &/or entry.
  • Enter Depth, Height, Width, Weight.  Indicate unit of measure (ie: inch or foot, pound or ounce)
  • Enter special instructions for disassembly for removal &/or shipping.
  • Click NEXT.

Step 5: UPLOAD PHOTOS OF ARTWORK ENTRY

  • Drag and drop photos or click to select files from designated area.
  • The image that appears in the first position will be the primary picture, and the first picture displayed to the public.  You may drag and drop photos to rearrange order.
  • Click NEXT.

Step 6: REVIEW & SUBMIT

  • Expand and review each of the above steps to verify the information you entered is correct.
  • When satisfied with entry, click SUBMIT FOR APPROVAL.

AFTER AUCTION

APPROVE OR DECLINE HIGHEST BID ON AUCTION ITEMS
Entries that are sold by method of AUCTION (highest bid) will need to be approved or declined by the artist.

Approval (or decline) is done by you through your online account.

Artist will have until TUESDAY October 5, 2021 at 5:00 pm EDT to accept or decline the highest bid to complete the sale.  If no action is taken to accept or decline the final highest bid by this deadline, it will be assumed that the offer is declined and the sale will be voided.

  • Go to bid.artprizeauction.com, click on LOGIN option.
  • Enter the username and password provided to you previously by Miedema.
  • Select ARTPRIZE OPTIONS from menu bar.
  • Select either APPROVE or DECLINE to the highest bid at the close of auction.
  • Once a selection is made it is final.

PAYMENT TO ARTIST FOR SALE

  • Miedema will issue a check for the full accepted bid amount (if sold through auction) or for the fixed price that was paid.
  • Payout check will be issued to the name and address that was provided to us by ArtPrize for participating artists.
  • Payout checks will be mailed through standard first class mail with USPS within 14 business days after buyer has paid in full and only after Pak Mail has confirmed that the buyer has made arrangements for removal.
